“I knew I wanted to send my kids to Step-By-Step before I was even pregnant; the referrals from colleagues and friends were that good! As a first time mom, their is hesitation with leaving your baby in someone else’s care. The team at Step-By-Step did everything to ease those hesitations including open communication and constant reassurance. I quickly came to realize why the center had earned so many positive referrals. The teachers are AMAZING! And yes, they are teachers. My girls have learned so much under their supervision, from how to treat their friends with respect and use good manners to the basics of sign language and Spanish. What matters to me the most is that my kids love Step-By-Step. I thought I’d come to pick them up and they’d be so happy to see me having missed me all day. Oh no, quite the contrary. They look at me and beg for 5 more minutes before we leave. The fact that they WANT to stay at Step-By-Step shows me they are right where they should be. The most amazing part is that the teachers at Step-By-Step aren’t just there for a paycheck. They change diapers, wipe noses, cure boo-boos, and settle spats over sharing, but most of all they love your children like they are their own. Step-By-Step isn’t a daycare, it’s an extension of our family and I can’t imagine our life without them”

“Our youngest daughter started at Step by Step as an infant. We’ve watched her grow and be nurtured by the staff who have become like family. We get sad when it’s time to transition to the next room as we fall in love with each of the teachers. At a year and a half she could spell her name, at two years old my daughter could sing her colors in Spanish, and was potty trained by the staff at 2.5 years old. Our oldest daughter attends Sparks Elementary and rides the bus to and from Step by Step. I love the convenience of dropping off and picking up at one location. They love being together too! As a working parent it is extremely helpful when Sparks is closed for professional days, snow days etc...that Step by Step is available for ‘drop-ins’ and I don’t have to coordinate other care. I would highly recommend Step by Step to any family looking for a nurturing environment who truly cares about your child. Having a private owner makes it easy to reach out when you have questions or concerns.”

“Step by Step has been like an extension of our home! The atmosphere is charming and the staff are truly caring. It is clear that everyone who works at SBS genuinely enjoys loving and teaching children. Our children are happy everyday at drop off and pick up. SBS has mastered a natural integration of play and learning. The care and programming are very well aligned developmentally and all of our children that have transitioned to elementary from Step by Step were prepared emotionally and academically.
